Hi everyone...

I have two things that I want to tell you about.

1. When ever I have to go through a toll bridge I ALWAYS pay for the toll behind when I have the extra money. Sometimes even when I dont have the money. Two weeks ago I did this as I crossed a toll bridge in Vallejo.

Usually I dont stop to watch the reaction, I just go on my way.. This time for some reason I did. I was really sad when I noticed that the driver behind me did not pay for the driver behind them. I keep hoping that one day... someone will actually do a chain of events. Maybe it is wishful thinking, I dunno. But I do know that I was disappointed that she didnt follow suit.

2.. My beloved cat who was two years old died over the weekend. She either swollowed or was bitten by a spider when she swollowed it. She went to in shock. EVERYTHING in her head swelled.. her brain, her lips, throat, everything!

When I first took her, they felt that it was just feline asthma. She was having a horrible time breathing when I too her to ER. They put her on oxygen, gave her meds, and asked that I go home and call around 10 am.. This was 7 am.

I go home, and I was only home for 35 minutes when they called and said that she had taken a turn for the worse. I went rushing back and I couldnt believe what I saw. I knew she was gone.

While I was standing in the waiting room waiting for them to call me back I was in hysterics. I was crying my eyes out. This woman that was in the waiting room waiting for her pet came in and handed me a handful of tissues. I thanked her in between sobs.

I will never forget her kindness. She was so sweet. She never said a word, but when she handed me those tissues, she didnt have to.

I was called back to see Kara and to decide rather I would let her go. I was back there at least an hour. When I came back out, this woman was still in the lobby waiting. I was still in sobbing, but I managed to mouth thank you to her. She shook her head through her own tears.

I dont know if she were crying for me, or if it was for her pet. I feel bad now that I think about it that I didnt say anything verbally to her. I was in no shape to say anything to anyone.

So, if you are reading this.... Thank you. Thank you so much for your kindess. We need more people like you in the world.

I read this and joined this community now so I could post this comment (and because I like this comm).

Your story made me cry :'(

I'm really, really sorry for your cat (I really mean this). Once something similar happened to me, I went to the vet because a pet of mine (a hamster who I loved very much) was very, very ill. I was waiting in the waiting room, and for comfort and because he needed to be taken for a walk I had taken my dog too. So I started crying and the vet after he came out petted my dog and handed me a box of dog treats (the vet's office was celebrating its b-day so they had a bunch. But he had already given my sister a box and didnt need to give me one too.).

P.S.: I love what you did on the bridge. I would have paid for the driver behind me too if someone in front of me had paid for me.
